Directions to BML from Berkeley (approximately 65 miles)

1. From Berkeley take I80 North to Richmond.
2. At Richmond take I580 West to San Rafael.
3. In San Rafael take R101 North to Petaluma.
4. Once in Petaluma take the Washington Avenue / Central Petaluma Exit.
5. Turn left at the end of the off-ramp. This puts you on Washington Avenue heading West.
6. This road leads to Valley Ford at which time it becomes Highway 1 and continues to the town of Bodega Bay.
7. In Bodega Bay you will drive past the Tides Restaurant and through a sharp hairpin turn.
8. After the hairpin turn you will come to an intersection with Eastshore Road, you will see a sign for Bodega Head, Marinas, and Westside Park turn left onto Eastshore Road.
9. Drive down a steep hill on Eastshore Road, at the bottom turn right onto Bay Flat Road.
10. Drive around Bodega Harbor on Bay Flat Road past Spud Point Marina and Westside Park.
11. BML Housing is about 1/4 mile beyond Westside Park, on the right.
12. The main gate to BML is about 1/4 mile further along Bay Flat Road. There is a large University of California sign and a card-controlled gate. The lab is about 1/2 mile beyond the gate.

Directions to BML from Oakland International Airport (approximately 75 miles)

1. Start out going southwest on Airport Dr toward Alan Shepard Way.
2. Turn right onto Alan Shepard Way.
3. Turn right onto John Glenn Dr.
4. Turn left onto Airport Dr.
5. Turn right onto Doolittle Dr / CA-61.
6. Turn left onto Airport Access Rd.
7. Turn right onto Hegenberger Rd.
8. Merge onto I-880 N toward Downtown Oakland.
9. Keep right to take I-980 E toward CA-24 / Walnut Creek.
10. Merge onto I-580 W toward San Francisco.
11. At Berkeley take I80 North to Richmond.
12. At Richmond take I580 West to San Rafael.
13. In San Rafael take R101 North to Petaluma.
14. Once in Petaluma take the Washington Avenue / Central Petaluma Exit.
15. Turn left at the end of the off-ramp.

Directions to BML from San Francisco International Airport (approximately 65 miles)

1. From the San Francisco Airport take R101 north to the Golden Gate Bridge. note: While driving through San Francisco it’s easiest to just follow the signs to the Golden Gate Bridge (which will keep you on R101).
2. After crossing the Golden Gate continue North to Petaluma (about 40 miles).
3. Once in Petaluma take the Washington Avenue / Central Petaluma Exit.
4. Turn left at the end of the off-ramp.
5. This puts you on Washington Avenue heading West.
6. This road leads to Valley Ford at which time it becomes Highway 1 and continues to the town of Bodega Bay.

Directions to BML from the UC Davis Campus (approximately 100 miles)

1. Take Highway 80 to Highway 37 at Vallejo (follow the signs towards Novato / San Rafael).
2. Stay on Highway 37 until it joins Highway 101 in Novato, take Highway 101 north to Petaluma.
3. Once in Petaluma take the Washington Avenue / Central Petaluma Exit.
4. Turn left at the end of the off-ramp.
5. This puts you on Washington Avenue heading West.

To get to the UC Davis campus From San Francisco:

1. Take Interstate 80 East.
2. Exit at UC Davis.
3. Turn left at stop sign onto Old Davis Road.
4. Pass South Gate Information Kiosk (or stop for further information if desired).
5. Continue toward the parking structure.
6. Turn right directly before the parking structure. Drive past the parking structure to the surface visitor parking lots 1 or 2.
7. Purchase a $6.00 all day parking permit on week days from the bright yellow permit dispense machine located after the first four rows on your left. Permit dispensers will accept quarters, one-dollar bills, Visa or MasterCards. Parking on weekends is free, except during special events. The Walter A. Buehler Alumni & Visitor Center is northeast of the parking lot.

From Sacramento:

1. Take Interstate 80 West.
2. Exit at UC Davis.
3. Turn right at stop sign onto Old Davis Road.
