Ecology and Evolution of Marine Life Histories
Conservation of Marine Biodiversity and Resources Goal: To establish a large-scale, long-term research program to significantly advance our understanding of the complex dynamics of populations and communities at the land-sea margin and to conserve marine resources in the midst of a burgeoning human population leading to overfishing, pollution, habitat degradation, species introductions and global warming.Approach: We tease apart the intricacy of the dynamic marine ecosystem to reveal the processes behind the patterns while encouraging academic excellence, safe field operations and conviviality.
