Welcoming our new Coastal/Marine Toxicologist, Dr. Christina Pasparakis

We are very pleased to welcome Dr. Christina Pasparakis to the Bodega Marine Laboratory and Coastal and Marine Sciences Institute community. She will be joining the Department of Environmental Toxicology as the new Coastal/Marine Toxicologist, and be based at Bodega Marine Laboratory. 

Dr. Pasparakis’s research is mechanistically focused within the field of environmental toxicology and will bring expertise in physiology and fish and invertebrate embryo/larval biology and toxicology to BML. Christina is also deeply committed to teaching, mentoring and service, and she is eager to join our efforts to strengthen diversity, equity, and inclusion within our community. Christina earned her Ph.D. in 2018 in Marine Biology and Ecology from the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science (RSMAS) and is currently a post-doctoral scholar at UC Davis.
