Maya Weeks, MFA

Maya Weeks is a Ph.D. candidate in Geography working on marine debris, gender, and political economy. She uses artistic research for a critical social scientific and creative lens on marine pollution in a tradition of feminist political ecology. A first-generation college student, she holds her B.A. in Language Studies (Spanish) from UC Santa Cruz and her M.F.A. in Creative Writing (Poetry) from Mills College.
